Remembering Hurricane Sandy In Photos

By Christopher Sheldon

Hurricane Sandy destroyed Long Branch's boardwalk, flooded homes along northern border of the city and darkened homes and streets in surrounding towns such as Tinton Falls, Eatontown and West Long Branch.

Some Long Branch residents have only recently moved back into their homes while others are still waiting for their turn.

It was a storm that none of us will ever forget, and Patch was able to give people a glimpse of the demonstration almost one year ago today with our pictures and stories.

Above is a look at some of those photos, mostly of the Long Branch area, from last October in the days following Hurricane Sandy.
