Holiday Events in the Two River Area This Weekend

Looking to take in a little community holiday spirit this weekend? Check out these local tree lighting ceremonies or perhaps have a bite of breakfast with Santa.

Red Bank Gingerbread Walk

Nov. 25– Dec. 21.

Red Bank River Center is proud to announce the town’s 3rd Annual event beginning Friday, November 25th through Wednesday, December 21st.  Guests are invited to visit 15 participating businesses that will be displaying unique, hand-crafted Gingerbread creations. Area bakers, restaurants and local schools were matched with Red Bank businesses and have donated their time and creativity to this fun holiday event. The Gingerbread Walk will help to support a Holiday Express.

Horse and Carriage Rides through Red Bank

Enjoy traditional through Red Bank this holiday season.  Rides are available at two locations, Bridge Ave., at the Galleria and Broad St., in front of Murphy’s Grill.

 

 Shrewsbury Presbyterian Church Christmas Bazaar.

Dec. 3, 9:30 – 2:30 p.m.

When people say that our is the best of any they have seen, a big reason is the Christmas Handcrafts booth, filled by Pam Sergeant and the Mission Belles Craft group. Spruce up your holiday decorations with something unique and beautifully made.

 

Holiday Harmonies in Red Bank

Dec. 3–24, 12:00–3:00 p.m.

will regale shoppers with carols and holiday music every Saturday throughout the holiday season.

 

Photos with Santa at the Galleria

Dec. 3, 12-4 p.m.

Come out to say 'hello' to the jolliest of elves at The Galleria on Saturday and Sunday until Dec. 18th.

 

Shrewsbury Tree Lighting

Dec. 3, Shrewsbury Gazebo, 4 p.m.

Please join us for a festive community as we welcome the beginning of the 2011 holiday season together. Enjoy caroling by the SBS Kindergarteners, 1st graders and SBS Chorus. Refreshments will be served and Santa will be arriving by fire truck at 4pm.  Santa will be available for family photos until 4:30pm. Holiday music will be provided by DJ Tommy Lynch.

 

West Side Park Tree Lighting in Red Bank

Dec. 3, West Side Park, 4 p.m.

Come out and meet Santa at this fun sponsored by the West Side Community Group and hear caroling by local students.

 

Fair Haven Tree Lighting

Dec. 3, Fair Haven Memorial Park, 748 River Rd. 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy this community event sponsored by the Small Business Association.  Meet Santa and enjoy music performed by the Band of Two Rivers.

 

Rumson Tree Lighting

Dec. 4 Victory Park, 5 p.m.

Featuring the Deane-Porter 3rd Grade Chorus, Tim McLoone and the Shirleys and the RFHRHS Tower Singers. Refreshments will be served.

 

Eatontown Lions Pancake Breakfast and Meet Santa

Dec. 4, , 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Come and enjoy all you can , sausages and orange juice while the kids have the opportunity to meet the big man himself, Santa.

 

Pancake Breakfast with Santa at Shrewsbury Fire House

Dec. 4, Shrewsbury Fire House, 9 a.m. to noon

The Shrewsbury Hose Company and the Ladies Auxiliary will host its fifth annual with Santa on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Shrewsbury firehouse. Eatontown Tree Lighting

, , 4 p.m.

All Eatontown residents are welcome to kick off the Holiday Season by joining us for our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Community Sing with numerous Christmas Carols performed by the Eatontown Choraliers, Eatontown Municipal Band and the Memorial School Choir.

 

Little Silver Tree Lighting

Dec. 4, Little Silver Borough lawn, 4 p.m.

Mayor Neff will officiate the lighting of the Holiday Tree.  Performances by Markham Place School Band and Chorus, and the Point Road School Chorus.

Refreshments will be served and . . . perhaps Santa will join the festivities!

 

Oceanport Tree Lighting

Dec. 4, Oceanport Borough Hall, 5 p.m.

Usher in the holiday season and sing some carols at this fun family tradition. The tree will be lit and the Oceanport Fire Department will drop Santa by to pose for family photos. Also warm up with refreshments served by the Recreation Committee at the Port Au Peck Firehouse.

 

Tinton Falls Tree Lighting

, Village Green, 5:30 p.m.

Thewill open its doors after and the Ladies Auxiliary will serve Hot Chocolate and cookies.  The Girl Scouts and DPW will decorate the tree.

Santa will arrive via fire truck and pictures with Santa will be available after the tree lighting in the firehouse. Bring your camera!
