Showboat on the Shrewbury

HABcore, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing for the homeless, will hold its 15th annual gala event, Showboat on the Shrewsbury, Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at 7 p.m. at McLoone’s Rum Runner in Sea Bright.

New Jersey State Senator Jennifer Beck will be the Honorary Event Chair and Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna and long-time trustee Linda Schoepf will be honored for their sustained dedication to HABcore’s mission.

In keeping with the event’s 19th century Showboat theme, costumed entertainers will greet guests, professional dancers Christina Penatello and Ken Hanson, from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Red Bank, will perform on the McLoone’s stage, and music will be provided by Tim McLoone and the Shirleys.  Silent and live auctions, featuring Broadway ticket packages, a hot air balloon ride and multiple vacation homes, will take place along with a 50/50 to serve as fundraising activities at the event.
