Transition Monmouth invites everyone to its 6th Summer Reskilling Workshop.
What: A Wild Edibles and Medicine Walk with Dan Farella, of Return to Nature.
Where: Eatontown's Farmers Market, Wampum Park, Route 35 and West Street
When: Sunday, Sept 8th. Walks will start at the gazebo at noon and again at 2pm.
Join Dan for an insightful walk around the land to demystify the "wall of green" surrounding us. He will teach you to identify many plants revered in the herbal traditions for healing ailments, as well as how to forage for nutritious wild food directly from the land. We will focus on methods to use and prepare them andgain the skills and confidence necessary to utilize the countless organic, fresh, local and free plant resources Nature continually provides.
Please bring a camera and notebook for recording the plants we find. Some of the plants you may learn about can be seen here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/TransitionMonmouth/#!/media/set/?set=oa.532622673478089&type=1
