Monmouth Medical Center and SCAN Present 'Take Control of Your Health' – April 22

Is your chronic condition getting the best of you? Ongoing health conditions affect how you live your life, how you experience your relations and how you deal with your emotions. Join Monmouth Medical Center and SCAN (Social Community Activities Network) for a free, six-week workshop to learn strategies for managing daily life when living with chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart and lung conditions, anxiety, diabetes and high blood pressure. 

Created by Stanford University, the evidence-based workshop will teach individuals how to:

• Manage stress.
• Improve communication. 
• Cope with depression and fatigue.
• Increase energy levels.
• Eat healthy and maintain weight. 
• Get more out of life. 

Attendees will also receive the complimentary reference book “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions” and a certificate of completion at the end of the series. 

Take Control of Your Health will take place Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 3:30 p.m. April 15 through May 20 at Monmouth Medical Center’s Center, located at 300 Second Avenue in Long Branch.
