Earth Day Community Brunch

All are invited to the Providing Hope Community Brunch being

held Sunday, April 27, 2014 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s UMC, 535

Broadway St., Long Branch. In addition to the meal, the event will feature

special Earth Day activities, including children’s activities and a health fair.





Providing Hope is sponsoring the event in collaboration

with:





  • St. Luke’s UMC;

  • Monmouth University ENACTUS Club students who

    will assist with greenhouse activities and begin planting a garden to provide

    fresh produce to the meal program on site;

  • Monmouth Family Health Center who will offer

    free blood pressure checks and general health assessments and referrals.

    Providing Hope’s Master Gardener will offer planting

    workshops and tips on gardening success to encourage community members,

    especially those who face food insecurity, to plant gardens at home. Participants

    will have an opportunity to select a seedling to plant and take with them.
