WHY BUILD A RAIN BARREL?

Build your own rain barrels are food grade drums converted with spigot and screen to collect rainwater from roof tops. Rain barrels hold about 50 gallons of water which can be used for lawns and gardens.

Participants will learn how to build their own rain barrel and install it at home. Rain water collection will help you save money, prevent basement flooding, and reduce stormwater pollution in local rivers and streams.
