A Town Hall Meeting with marketing guru and thought leader SETH GODIN

The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Brookdale Community College (MOSBDC) is proud to present A Town Hall Meeting with marketing guru and thought leader SETH GODIN at 2 p.m. on September 25, 2013. This event is open to all businesses seeking solutions and strategies for surviving and thriving in the Sandy Recovery. The Location of the event is 765 Newman Springs Rd, Student Life Center, Navesink Rooms I, II and III, Lincroft, N.J.

Around the country, there are three images associated with the Jersey Shore in the aftermath of two disasters. First, the submerged roller coaster from Seaside Heights (Ocean County) and the half standing home in Union Beach (Monmouth County) following Sandy. Then, the popular Seaside Boardwalk erupting in flames on September 12, destroying more than 50 businesses in its path. How can "marketing" aid in recovery?

According to Jackeline Mejias-Fuertes, Director of the NJSBDC at Brookdale Community College, serving small businesses in Monmouth and Ocean counties, "We’ve found that many of the Sandy-impacted business owners whom we counsel are most interested in two main areas – marketing and finance. On the financial side, they are getting their businesses back in order which may include insurance, loans, grants and some creative financing. Yet we are finding that almost equally as important to them is marketing and how to enhance their presence and create a plan for going forward, unlike what they’ve done in the past. There’s no better person to address this than Seth Godin.”
