West Long Branch PBA Helps Fund Fireworks

PBA Donates $1,000 to finance cost of July 4 fireworks in West Long Branch

West Long Branch Long Branch PBA Local 141 is lending a helping hand to the borough with a donation of $1,000 to help finance the cost of its Fourth of July fireworks and concert at Franklin Lake.

PBA 141 Vice President Jayson Moore recently informed Patch of the donation.

The West Long Branch Council had said the fireworks would be in jeopardy this year as there was no money in the budget to pay for them. However, with the help of the community, families will be gathering around the lake

Earlier this month, Monmouth University announced it would be donating $5,000 to help finance the cost of the fireworks and concert. Local residents and businesses are donating $2,000, and those funds coupled with the PBA and university donations will be sufficient.
