About 62 Percent Of Eatontown Still In The Dark

Latest power outage numbers

JCP&L reported that 4,337 of the 6,944 customers in Eatontown are still without power as of about 5:45 p.m. on Friday, according to its outage map.

Power outage numbers continued to drop across the state Friday. 

JCP&L reported in a release on that the majority of customers will be restored by November 7.

The site also contains a .PDF that details the specific areas that are expected to receive power over the coming weekend.

The .PDF on the site says they expect to restore power to 36 more homes on Nov. 2, 361 on Nov. 3 and 678 on Nov. 4. There is no way to discern which homes will recieve power on which day.

On the site, JCP&L also posted:

"The majority of customers will be restored by next Wednesday. Customers in the hardest-hit areas are expected to be restored in an additional seven days. Remaining customers will be restored once damaged roads, infrastructure and homes are rebuilt. We will provide more information here, on Facebook and on Twitter, as well as through news releases, as it becomes available.

At the peak, more than 1 million of JCP&L’s 1.1 million customers were without power.
