Thousands Still Without Power in Long Branch-Eatontown Area

West Long Branch has fewest number of outages in area

 

Thousands of Long Branch, Eatontown and Tinton Falls residents are still in the dark on Monday morning.

Jersey Central Power & Light's (JCP&L) outage map shows that Long Branch has the most outages with 4,118 customers affected as of 9 a.m.

Eatontown has 2,583 residents who are still without power and 1,169 Tinton Falls customers still are waiting for their power to be restored.

JCP&L's outage map shows that 571 West Long Branch residents do not have power on Monday morning.

The number of outages has been decreasing every day as JCP&L crews continue to repair downed wires and poles throughout the area.

Traffic lights are still not working in many places, so drivers should use caution if they are returning to work this week.

Today is an odd-numbered day so people who last license plate number is odd can fill their tanks on Monday. Lines at gas stations such as the Hess and BP stations on Route 36 are getting smaller by the day, but some smaller stations such as the Singin gas station on Broadway are still without power and remain closed.
