Snow Likely to Fall in Long Branch-Eatontown Area This Weekend

There is snow in the forecast for the Long Branch-Eatontown area for Super Bowl weekend.

Low accumulations are expected, but the snow could make driving hazardous.

A light snow is expected to fall after 5 p.m. today, with more expected throughout the night.

More snow is in Sunday's forecast, with 1 to 2 inches expected before 1 p.m.

Here is the National Weather Service's forecast for this weekend:

  • Today: A chance of light snow after 4pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 29. West wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
  • Tonight: Snow likely, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Sunday: Snow likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Sunday Night: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
