Monmouth County 911 Communications Center Struck by Lightning

The building did not lose power and service was not affected.

The Monmouth County 911 Communications Center was struck by lightning during Sunday afternoon’s storm, Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Cynthia Scott confirmed.

“The building was struck by lightning but did not lose power,” Scott said. “The center is fully operational.”

Emergency calls were not impacted by the lightning strike at the building, which is located at 2000 Kozloski Road in Freehold Township.

The East Freehold Fire Company responded to the scene, according to an emergency services professional answering calls at the firehouse.
