Eatontown Co-Op Preschool Accepting Applications

Patch’s quick and dirty five things you need to know to get you through Monday, Aug. 8:

1.     It’s Getting Hot in Here: Even as we sit still in our desk chair with only our fingers doing any serious movement on the computer keyboard, we are feeling a bit clammy as August’s humidity bears down on Monmouth County (and our office in particular). As the rainy weather promised for the weekend never transpired, you’ll need to get out there early to water your droopy tomato plants and impatiens because Monday looks hot and sunny with no chance of showers until possibly Tuesday.

2.     Fughettaboutit: Monday’s in Eatontown has been canceled. Call board secretary Noel Kayser, at 732-389-7617 with questions. The next meeting will be held on Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

3.     School Daze: The Eatontown Co-Op Preschool is accepting applications for the upcoming school year. The community-based program is located at 68 Broad St. and offers Nursery School, Pre K and before and after care programs for residents. Call (732) 389-7647 to register.

4.     Get a Job:, on Route 36 in Eatontown, has numerous positions available including cashiers, sales associates and the infamous Geek Squad. Get the lowdown here and find a link to the company’s Web site to apply.

5.     Holla: Have you heard the good news? While it comes as no surprise for those of us who have drank the Patch Kool-Aid, apparently we are not alone in using it as our primary resource for local news. The folks at the Magazine for Online Media, Marketing and Advertising agree and ranked along with Facebook, the New York Times and Netflix. We’re just saying.
