Go Fish: Annual Youth Fishing Derby in Eatontown

Youth Fishing Derby is THIS SATURDAY JUNE 4TH!! Check out what this event is all about!!!

Eatontown Recreation’s annual is right around the corner. This event will include a morning of fun for children ages 15 and younger and who are Eatontown residents. This year’s “Youth Fishing Derby” will be from 8 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at in Eatontown on Saturday, June 4. Sponsored by the Eatontown Recreation Advisory Committee, this event will run rain or shine and free of cost.                  

This year’s “Youth Fishing Derby” will have different awards, as well as additional raffle prizes awarded at 10:00 a.m. when the fishing derby is over. Some of the awards include “Biggest Fish,” “Most Unique Fish,” and “First Fish Caught.” All participants must be accompanied by an adult and be responsible to supply their own fishing pole and fishing tackle. Wampum Park Lake will be stocked with fish. Worms will also be provided.                                                                              

Eatontown Recreation is looking for event volunteers and event sponsors. If you are interested, please contact the Recreation Office at 732-389-7607. Eatontown Recreation is looking forward to a morning of prizes, fishing, and fun.
