The Waves Groundbreaking Ceremony

Members of the community and media gathered excitedly to witness Ventnor Mayor Mike Bagnell along with PRDC/Pelican Properties' President David Perlman, his partner Gerry Hamburg, members of First Trust Bank and other instrumental partners speak about the project and even take a sledgehammer to the Monaco Motel, which the luxury residences will replace. Everyone from the area's neighbors to the Mayor himself couldn't be happier about the demolition of this deteriorating motel and the construction of these new homes. It shows the world that while Ventnor was affected by Hurricane Sandy, it is far from broken. This project is part of an effort to spur economic growth in the beach community as well as a huge step in post Sandy recovery.
