Long Branch Stop & Shop Opens Today
Former Foodtown now open on West End Court in Long Branch
The Stop & Shop at the site of what was once a Foodtown will open on Friday morning at 7 a.m. in Long Branch.
The Foodtown, located at 150 West End Court, was closed on May 16 for rebranding purposes, and has now been converted to a Stop & Shop.
The Long Branch location is one of five Norkus-owned Foodtowns that were converted to Stop & Shops this month. The other stores are located in Point Pleasant Beach, Neptune City, Freehold Township and Manalapan. All five locations will open Friday morning at 7 a.m.

A release from Stop & Shop stated that many current Foodtown employees at the stores that are being converted to Stop & Shops have been offered jobs at the same stores in which they currently work or at "other stores within the Stop & Shop chain."
