Indoor Miniature Golf Course Proposed For Hope Road in Eatontown

Application will likely be heard by zoning board in April

An indoor miniature golf course could be coming to Eatontown if the borough zoning board approves an application made by GloGolf Entertainment LLC in the coming months.

The applicant is proposing to build Monster Mini Golf, a full-scale indoor, 18-hole, monster-themed miniature golf course at 749 Hope Road in the borough.

The course would be illuminated by UV lightning and be used primarily for birthday parties and would also feature amusement-style games.

A miniature golf course is not a permitted use in the borough's PBO-88 zone, so a variance will have to be granted by Eatonown Zoning Board of Adjustment. A PBO-88 zone permits professional office buildings.

Residents in the area were noticed of the upcoming application, which the developer stated would be heard at the board's March meeting.

However, Eatontown Planning/Zoning Board Secretary Linda Montagna said it is more likely the application would be heard at the April 1 zoning board meeting as the March agenda is already full.
