Celebrate St. Paddy's With a Few Rounds, of Golf
Who couldn't use a little luck of the Irish in their golf game this weekend? Families and first-time golfers are welcome at Twin Brook Golf Center's Leprechaun Open this Saturday.
This weekend invites you to celebrate St. Paddy's Day with a truly Irish tradition - golf.
The Leprechaun Open costs $25 a person or $80 for a foursome with all proceeds going to the National Multiple Sclerosis New Jersey Metro Chapter. Manager Bobby Donofrio said the mild weather prompted Twin Brook to kick off the season early and make use of it's rarely used kitchen and liquor license. The charity was chosen, he said, after one of the center's golfers who has MS, asked to hang flyers for the annual MS charity walk.

Donofrio said in addition to donating the open fees, the center will donate the money collected for the 50/50 putting contest.
The general event is free and also includes a mini golf tournament with prizes and trophies.

And even if you don't win a prize (although with the luck of the Irish, surely you will), you can look forward to a corn beef lunch (or hot dogs and hamburgers, if you prefer). Soft drinks will be served and there will a happy hour cash bar where you can toast your friends.
Families with children and first-time golfers are encouraged to attend. The festivities will kick off at noon with a shotgun start. For more information, call (732) 922-1600.
