Monmouth University Women's Basketball Team to Recognize Cancer Survivors

Survivors will be honored during halftime of Feb. 16 basketball game

The Monmouth University women's basketball team will be honoring cancer survivors during halftime of an upcoming game.

Halftime of the Hawks' Feb. 16 game against St. Francis, NY, will serve as the venue to honor survivors of women's cancers for this year's Play 4 Kay event. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the MAC at Monmouth University.

"The Play 4 Kay event is recognized throughout the country and serves as a way to recognize survivors of breast and ovarian cancer," Monmouth University Director of Basketball Operations Meg Tarrant said. "We will invite all survivors onto the court and present them with an autographed basketball."
