I Did Not Feel Like Celebrating on Tuesday

Bin Laden got exactly what he had coming to him, however I did not feel like doing much celebrating on Tuesday.

Bin Laden got exactly what he had coming to him, however I did not feel like doing much celebrating on Tuesday.  I was very content knowing that he was swimming with the fishes at the bottom of the sea, in his own eternal hell.

My wife Kathy told me that she and some of her relatives would remember her cousin Tom, who died on 9/11, by eating some of his favorite meals.

Around lunchtime, I took a walk through the Middletown WTC Memorial Gardens.  There was no celebrating there.  Instead, the monuments continue to provide a reminder for visitors that 37 residents of the community went to work on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 and never returned home.

Almost ten years later, people still recall how so many cars remained in the parking lot of the nearby train station, during that awful night.  As I was leaving, an older woman was slowly walking down the path alone towards the monuments.  I smiled and said hello.   As she passed by, she turned to me and said, “We can’t forget them.”   She was not celebrating either.
