Tuesday, January 7-Visit a Library

It's cold out there. Like you really needed me to tell you that. It's quite obvious when you woke up and wanted to know why your gloves and hat were beyond your reach and you were only going into the kitchen.
If you are heading out to work or anywhere else, then please be careful and bundle up.

With all this crazy weather , it looks like that challenge I presented is
looking pretty grim. The challenge was to visit all the towns in Monmouth County as a new year's resolution.Try and see if you can visit all 53 municipalities of Monmouth County in the year 2014. It's up to you how you want to do this.  You will find a complete list of alltowns in Monmouth County on my website,  Monmouth County Municipalities
You must be in the town and not one of the sections.
For added excitement see if you can visit all the sections. This adds on around 58 more places to visit. For more information about Monmouth County History, check out my page of Museums & Historical Societies.

Today, I would suggest taking a virtual tour of the Libraries of Monmouth County or if you are brave enough, take a visit a local or nearby library.
That is if they are open. Call first!
You can find information on my website on all the libraries of MC.

In this world of get it now and get it fast, one often wonders just how does a library keep on it's toes.
It begins by offering more than just a place to check out books, it's a quiet place to sit back, relax and enjoy that book.

Libraries offer art, computer classes, book clubs, seminars, concerts, movies, writer forums, story time for all ages, seminars on health and well-being, assistance with doing taxes, advice on health insurance, and so much, much more.

Most libraries offer  summer reading clubs.Book Clubs are not just limited to the summer and younger children. They offer book clubs all year for teens
and adults as well.

Bringing your child to the library opens the doors to a world of wonder.
It is a fun cool place to enjoy time together and learn. Your teenager will be amazed at what lies beyond the doors of each book they open.

The picture is my granddaughter, Sonrisa enjoying a presentation of turtles at a local library. She's the one up front with pink and white on.
The video is her reaction to a bug placed on her arm.
