Saving a National Landmark

The community is invited to join the steering committee of the T. Thomas Fortune Project on Tuesday, December 3rd at 5PM at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 172 Shrewsbury Avenue, Red Bank and be a community supporter of a historic opportunity to preserve, restore and resurrect an important National Historic Landmark, The T. Thomas Fortune House located at 94 Drs. James Parker Boulevard, Red  Bank.  T. Thomas Fortune was born a slave in 1856 and rose to prominence as a journalist, writer, newspaper publisher, human rights advocate and courageous agitator for civil rights. Help make the T. Thomas Fortune House a destination for cultural arts and diverse programming that will educate, empower and engage the community. Further info, thomasfortunehouse@gmail.com
