New Year Challenge-A Visit to Lake Como, Belmar and Avon-By-The-Sea

As we approach the new year and start making our resolutions.
Let's take a look at visiting Monmouth County as being one of our resolutions or challenges. Here is my challenge to you.
See if you can visit all 53 municipalities of Monmouth County in the year 2014. It's up to you how you want to do this.
You will find a complete list at  BizEturtle: Monmouth County Municipalities
You must be in the town and not one of the sections.
For added excitement see if you can visit all the sections. This adds on around 58 more places to visit. For more information about Monmouth County History, check out my page of Museums & Historical Societies,
This is an ongoing look at towns around Monmouth County to visit.

We continue on with this virtual tour with 3 more towns.
Our first visit is to Lake Como, a seashore town with a population of less than 2000. It originally formed as the borough of South Belmar.
The name of Lake Como became effective as of January 4, 2005. It holds a separate government from it's neighbor Belmar. For places of interest to visit check with the Borough Office at 1740 Main Street .

Next is a visit to Belmar, another wonderful seashore town with a
population of under six thousand. The Belmar Historical Society would be a great site to check out for places to visit . For further information contact, Patricia O'Keefe, patriciaokeefe@optonline.net.
The Belmar Library which is not a Branch or Member of MCLS may prove to be a great resource for finding out about both Lake Como and Belmar.

Our last visit is to Avon-ByThe Sea, an historic Victorian seaside community located on the Atlantic Ocean. Please take note, the borough's name is pronounced Ah-von (not Ay-von).
Take a visit  to the Avon Library for information on places to visit.
Take not, it is not a Branch or Member of MCLS.
