Our travels today take us to Borough of Freehold and the
Township of Freehold.
Now be careful as they are two different areas.
Freehold Boro is the county seat of Monmouth County.
The Freehold Boro Arts Council is the creative community of Freehold Boroughit is an open commonwealth of artists, designers, performers, writers, musicians and other creative innovators of all ages and skill levels. They welcome you to come visit this wonderful cultural community.

Check out the picture I have posted by Susan Winter of historic sites within Freehold Township. The lithograph includes colored drawings of the following historic sites: Oakley Farmstead, Levi Solomon House, Bethel AME Cemetery, West Freehold School, Rhea-Applegate House, Toll House, Moore’s Inn, Craig House and the Municipal Building.

The Freehold Boro Public Library is located at 28 1/2 East Main Street.
Freehold Township has no library, but is a member of the Monmouth County library system.
