"Underpants"? Now that is a funny subject matter. Isn't it?
That happens to be the name of the play currently in production at
First Avenue Playhouse.
It is a classic play about Louise and Theo Markes, a couple whose conservative existence is shattered when Louise's bloomers
fall down in public. Though she pulls them up quickly, he thinks the incident will cost him his job as a government clerk. Louise's momentary display
does not result in the feared scandal but it does attract two infatuated men, each of whom wants to rent the spare room in the Markes' home.
Oblivious of their amorous objectives, Theo splits the room between them, happy to collect rent from both of them. Then the fun begins!!
My first thought would be why not call it "Bloomers". Sounds like much more whimsical title to me. All in all it reads as fun and lively play with tons of laughs.

Enjoy a relaxing evening of entertainment. Sit comfortably around
a table for 6 - 8 or less and savor the delicious desserts from local bakeries and enjoy fresh coffee or a cold soda,served a half hour before curtain time.
