Earth Day & Arbor Day Reminders

Don't forget on Thursday, April 24th to join the fun and
CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY with a local tree expert from the Shade Tree Commission at 3:15 PM at Atlantic Highlands Library, 100 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands
Listen to themed stories, and take home a real tree seedling for planting. Children of all ages are welcome.


The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library will present CONTAINER GARDENING 101 on Thursday, April 24th at 7:00 PM. Be sure and RSVP: 732-583-9100 Master Gardener, Sandy Wolfe, will explain how you can grow annuals, perennials, vegetables, and herbs in containers.

 Join American Littoral Society staff and naturalists for our
 annual Earth Day Arbor Day tree walk. We will explore
Sandy Hook's unique ecosystem as well as the flora, and fauna
along the way. Every day here is an adventure, so bring your binoculars
and cameras, you never know what exciting things you'll see out on the Hook! This walk is great for families.

marine life and habitat, protects the coast from harm, and empowers
others to do the same.
