Movie Night! Free Series Coming to Local Parks Starting on Friday

Grab a beach chair and make sure there's plenty of popcorn on  hand because on Friday nights throughout the summer, free movies will play at local parks.

Eatontown and Tinton Falls will host a series of free events, starting this Friday night, featuring a lineup of flicks sure to appeal to every family member.

The series, which is taking place at a number of other local parks, is organized by Shore Flicks and sponsored by InVision EyeCare of Tinton Falls and Lakewood. Other sponsors include Lincroft Village Dental Care, Surf Taco, Connelly-Campion-Wright Insurance and Wind-up Records.

Movie nights will take place Monday through Friday in June, July, and August, for 60 nights total in 10 different towns in Monmouth County, two movie nights a month for each town.  Essentially it's a three-month film festival, complete with theme weeks like Space Week, Christmas in July Week and Pixar Week.

Each night will be a community event, including a food drive to benefit local food banks and pantries such as Lunch Break, RAINE and the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  Everyone who donates food will be in a weekly drawing to win items donated by Best Buy of Eatontown, PNC Bank Arts Center, the New York Red Bulls, Starland Ballroom, Lakewood BlueClaws and Macy's.
