Walk for Life

Gift of Life will hold its 1st Annual Walk for Life in memory of Mel Cohen on Sunday, October 14th in Long Branch from 10am – 1pm. Mel Cohen, a beloved resident of Ocean, dedicated his life to helping others. Three months following his retirement, Mel needed a bone marrow transplant and had to rely on a stranger to save his life. That stranger was found through Gift of Life. All net proceeds raised at the Walk will be used to add new donors to the registry.  It costs $54 to process each sample and our goal is to sponsor 1000 new donors in memory of Mel.
