Thursday Classic Movie: Kansas City Confidential

John Payne, an ex-con finds himslef the suspect of an armored car robbery, which was brilliantly engineered by a former Kansas City policeman (Foster).  To ensure the "perfect" crime, all the gang members wear masks so that their identities are kept secret from each other.  Payne is ultimately clieard and seeks revenge by embarking on a search for the real bank robbers.  Directed by Phil Karlson.  Starring John Payne (Miracle on 34th Street), Jack elam, Lee van Cleef and Neville Brand and Preston Foster. 100 minutes (1952)
