West Long Branch Recreation Commission Concerts, Camp Dates Set For Summer

First concert is this summer at 7 p.m., and camp begins June 27

West Long Branch Recreation Commission will be keeping residents busy this summer with Summer Recreation Program and Summer Concert Series. 

Registration for the Summer Recreation Program is open to students entering grades 1 through 9 in the fall and who live in the borough. The camp runs from June 27-Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is $200 for the six-week camp.

Forms were sent home with the students through the school and are also available on the Borough web site at westlongbranch.org

The program is a full day summer camp offering children the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, sports, games, activities and more. On-site water slides, field trips and outings to the pool are also part of the schedule.  Students will also have the opportunity for supervised assistance in completing their summer reading and math packets if they desire. 

The summer concert series begins on June 24 at 7 p.m. at the Franklin Lake Park gazebo. The first concert of the summer will be the Beatlemania Stage Show this Friday.

The next show will be on July 4, when After The Reign performs before the fireworks start at the lake at 7 p.m.
