Up to 1-Hour Delays on NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line Tuesday Morning

A power supply problem disrupts several lines.

Bulletin issued by NJ Transit at 8:50 a.m.

Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line service is subject to 45 to 60 minute delays due to an earlier Amtrak power supply problem on the Northeast Corridor.

Raritan Valley Line one-seat ride service is subject to 45 to 60 minute delays between Newark and New York.

To alleviate congestion in New York Penn Station, Midtown Direct trains continue to operate into and out of Hoboken Terminal.

To give customers alternate travel options, NJ TRANSIT has established cross-honoring with PATH trains for customers boarding at 33rd Street in New York, Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal.

In addition NJ TRANSIT buses and private carrier buses are cross honoring rail tickets and passes.

At approximately 8 a.m., Amtrak reported a low voltage condition on the Northeast Corridor.  As a result, NJ TRANSIT rail service was temporarily suspended on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Lines.

Customers are encouraged to check www.njtransit.com for the latest information before starting their trip.
