Shrimpfest of Ocean Twp. Offers Something for Everyone this Weekend

The three-day long event at Joe Palaia Park will feature over 25 food vendors, games and rides, a bike night and a car show.

HOLD THE DATE and get the family ready - The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) is putting the finishing touches on their all NEW 3-day ShrimpFest of Ocean Township!

ShrimpFest is free to attend, and will take place on Friday, Saturdayand Sunday, July 8th, 9th and 10th at Joe Palaia Park, Deal & Whalepond Roads, in Ocean. 

To ensure the success of the festival, the GOTCC has brought in respected event producers The Passion Group of Asbury Park.

ShrimpFest will have something for every member of the family. Over 25 restaurants, including some celebrated Jersey Shore institutions, all featuring a homemade shrimp creation!  100 craft vendors! Free entertainment and live bands! Drive-in Motorcycle Show Friday night! Classic Car Show Sunday afternoon! Rides and inflatables! Free activities for kids! Games! Vendors! And, did we say SHRIMP?!  

ShrimpFest hours are: Friday – 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday – 2 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday – 2 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Participating restaurants and Food Vendors include The Windmill, King Daddy Burger, Carnival Concessions, 10th Ave Burrito, Ragin’ Cajun, Station 1 Seafood, Jakes Crab Shack, Gaetano's Carousel Catering Co., Kona Ice Truck, Casa Di Dolci, John & Debbie's Concessions, G & L Gyro, Jersey Shore BBQ, Fresh Fruit Cup, Mrs. B's Kettle Korn, Amazing Roast, Pure & Simple Flat Bread, and JR's Soda.

Bike Night will be on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and is sponsored by Harley Davidson of Long Branch. Prizes will be awarded in five categories: Antique, Sport, Touring, Custom plus The People’s Choice Award. There is a $10.00 entry fee per bike enter

Sunday afternoon, from 2-5 p.m. will feature a Classic Car Show. Prizes will be awarded in five categories: 1950 and older, 1950-1959, 1960 – 1969, 1970 and newer, plus The People’s Choice Award. There is a $10 entrance fee per car.

All registration for the Bike and Car shows will be done on-site, and entry fees will cover awards and support GOTCC youth charities. It is free for festival goers to attend.

There will be live music all weekend long, including jazz, classic rock, reggae and country genres. The kids can enjoy face painting, stilt walkers, balloon artists, inflatables and rides.

ShrimpFest sponsors include Dr. T-Shirt, 95.9 The WRAT, Asbury Park Press, Coors Light, Garden State Menu, 94.3 The Point, The Breeze, NJ Devils, Living in Media, and the Berkley Oceanfront Hotel.
