Seabrook Holds Annual Geography Bee

Margot Rivera is this year's winner

Seabrook, a retirement community located in Tinton Falls, recently held its second annual Geography Bee and this year, resident Margot Rivera was the winner.

Rivera says she loves to travel and has been to nearly 25 different countries, including the two sovereign states of Vatican City and San Marino.

Do you know in which state Lake Francis Case is located? Rivera did and as a result, knowing South Dakota as its home gave her the title.

“I’ve always liked to look at maps,” Rivera said. “Different places have always fascinated me.”

Originally from Berlin, Germany, Rivera said that the most exotic place she has travelled to was Borneo. However, if she could, she would love to not only retain her residence here at Seabrook, but have one in her native Berlin and travel between the two.

Rivera does admit though that there is no place like home at Seabrook and that she enjoys all the activities offered at the community.

“I like to participate in activities, events and contests here because it keeps me active and I can challenge myself," she said.
