Major Traffic Delays on Broadway Thursday Afternoon

Construction at the intersection of Bath Avenue, Norwood Avenue and Broadway is causing traffic delays in Long Branch on Thursday afternoon.

Those traveling east on Broadway, toward the ocean, will see delays backed up to as far as the Dunkin Donuts in West Long Branch. 

Motorists traveling west on Broadway will not be able to make the left turn onto Norwood or Bath Avenues because of the construction which is blocking the large intersection.

It is not clear as to when the construction will be completed, but as of 12:30 p.m., traffic was still heavy on Broadway. 

Beach travelers should try another route such as Joline Avenue or Cedar Avenue to reach Ocean Boulevard and the ocean.
