Long Branch Library Awarded Historical Grant

Grant will be used to digitize Monmouth County maps

is has been awarded a mini-grant from the Historical Commission of the State of New Jersey.

The $512 grant will be used to digitize the Plat Book of Monmouth County.

The Plat Book of Monmouth County contains a collection of rare, old maps of Long Branch and the surrounding area.

Library Outreach Coordinator Kate Angelo thanked librarian Janet Birckhead for writing the grant and Elsalyn Palmisano for her assistance with the application process.
