Long Branch Elks, Long Branch Schools Hosting Community Dinners

Both dinners are free and open to residents

 

The Long Branch Elks and the Long Branch School District are hosting community and Thanksgiving dinners for the public this week.

The Long Branch School District's Community Fest is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Gregory Elementary School and Long Branch Middle School from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is a free dinner for all Long Branch residents who wish to attend.

The Long Branch Elks are hosting a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 22 that is free and open to the public.

The dinner will be held at the lodge at 150 Garfield Ave., from noon to 3 p.m.

The Elks are still looking for anyone who can donate anything for the dinner including turkey, ham, potatoes, cranberry sauce, desserts or any other Thanksgiving food. Those who are interested in donating should contact John Jones or Long Branch Elks Lodge #742 at 732-222-9742.

Those who were displaced by Hurricane Sandy are encouraged to attend and have a hot meal.
