Hundreds Take to the Street for the Homecoming of a Local Marine

Hundreds of people waving flags and holding signs lined the streets of Rumson on July 22 as Lance Corporal Sean MacDonald rode home escorted by a parade of police and fire trucks.

Emotions ran high as hundreds of people stood along Blackpoint Road in Rumson on July 22 waiting for Lance Corporal Sean MacDonald to return home from his seven-month tour in Afghanistan. The heat did not stop his supporters from filling the streets for his arrival, even after his flight was delayed over an hour and temperatures were still in the 90’s into the evening.
