Tinton Falls Library Summer Reading Program Kicks Off June 1, 2011...

Quoted from the Tinton Falls Library Site's Update:

New!  2011 Online Summer Reading Program!
We are happy to announce that we are “going green” with a new online summer reading club this year!  Monmouth County Library System has awarded us permission to be the only member library of their system to try this out.  It will be an exciting time for all of us including YOU, the readers.  Our program will run from June 1 through August 10, 2011.
Themes for the clubs are “One World, Many Stories” for ages 2 to grade 4 and “We Are Here” for grades 5-8.  Registration will begin on June 1st.  You can access the reading club at home through our website www.tintonfalls.com or come to the library and we will show you how to create your online account and keep track of your reading time.  Your online reading record will also let you know when you reach each prize goal.  Just print out your reward coupon and come on by!  Or access it here.  You will also like the online feature that allows you to click and print your reading record to take to school and show your teacher how much you read this summer! It will be fun and easy.
Other activities include weekly random drawings of participants from the reading pool for reading achievement, our summer “I Spy” game, special craft programs, a “Learn to Knit” group and a fun picnic for everyone who completes the summer reading program at their level and much, much more.  We are still in the planning stages—check back with us to see what else is new at the beginning of June.
We are excited to be piloting this program at the Tinton Falls Library this summer and hope that you will enjoy our new reading club format.  Please stop by the library after May 1 for an informational bookmark.  If you have questions, just ask!
