Eatontown to Dedicate New Playground at Wolcott Park

The handicapped-accessible play area will receive its official welcome to the borough on Tuesday morning.

While it boasts spots to spin, swing and slide, the new playground at has lacked an official welcome to the Eatontown community.

Borough officials will welcome the on Aug. 9 at a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m.

The handicapped-accessible playground was part of a to the park located between Lewis, Willow and High streets that included retopped basketball and handball courts, a batting cage and retention wall.

The borough took advantage of a $175,000 open space grant through the county, which it matched to cover the costs of the recent additions, according to Eatontown Business Administrator George Jackson recently.
