Broadway and Wall Street Paving Begins Wednesday Night in West Long Branch

The roadwork is expected to last at least a week.

The resurfacing of Broadway and Wall Street in West Long Branch is expected to begin Wednesday night.

The work will be carried out by Monmouth County and is expected to last at least a week, according to the West Long Branch Police.

"Watch for and abide by detours," police stated in a Nixle alert message. "Please be patient with milling and construction noise, as well as traffic back ups."

Police say there is a chance the project may not begin until Thursday night, but the positive weather forecast likely means it will begin Wednesday.

The milling and paving is expected to occur nightly from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
