PIER VILLAGE KICKS OFF HOLIDAY SEASON WITH ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING ON SUNDAY, DEC. 1

Kick off the Holiday Season in style at The Annual Pier Village Tree Lighting, December 1st, at 4 PM on Festival Plaza.

Pier Village and The City of Long Branch are proud to present a Holiday Spectacular for all ages and families! Enjoy live music, our authentic carousel, twinkling holiday lighting display and live entertainment- all with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Bundle up and bring the whole family for a rocking live performance by Jersey Legend Tim McLoone & The Holiday Express.  Keep your hands toasty warm with free hot chocolate as you Sing along and anticipate the Annual Tree Lighting count down! We are going to Light the way for the arrival of a special visitor from the North Pole! Santa Claus himself will be stopping by with free toys for the children- so get those lists ready and make sure you come early to get your pictures with the big guy on his dazzling magic sleigh!!

This year, Pier Village has teamed up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Central and South Jersey to present The Carousel of Hope. Pier Village will unveil a full size carousel that will run all month long on Festival Plaza. For only 1 dollar you can make memories on this nostalgic full scale amusement ride while giving back to a worthy cause. The Carousel of Hope will continue to run throughout the Holiday season Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 7 PM.

Pier Village is also the proud host of the largest Menorah on the Jersey Shore! The Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration will take place at 4:30 PM on December 2nd on Festival Plaza in Pier Village. Rabbi Schapiro and Chabad at The Shore of Long Branch invite all to witness the Menorah Lighting and enjoy traditional hot latkes, music and family entertainment.

“Our focus this year is shop, dine, and give,” says Megan Oliveira, Director of Marketing and Events at Pier Village. “We have also joined efforts with the Long Branch Fire Department for their Annual Food and Toy Drive.”

The drop off station, located next to RSI Bank on Chelsea Avenue, will be open from 4 to 7 PM on December 1st and from 1PM to 4PM every Saturday in December until Christmas.  Santa and members of the fire department will be present during drop off hours to visit with children, take photos and show off their official LBFD fire equipment and vehicles.

Other local organizations including Shore Regional High School Dance Team, The First Baptist Church of Long Branch Choir, and The Amerigo Anastasia School Choir will be visiting all month long with live performances in and around the shopping and dining area.
