Monmouth Medical Center Spotlights ACA with Free Community Education and Enrollment Event

A recent Affordable Care Act educational and enrollment forum presented by Monmouth Medical Center, in conjunction with community partners, titled “What Coverage Under the Affordable Care Act Means to You,” drew dozens of families to the Gregory Elementary School in Long Branch.

At the event, special guest Congressman Frank Pallone provided an overview of the ACA, including coverage options and how to take advantage of open enrollment. Community members had the opportunity to enroll in various programs with the help of on-site certified bi-lingual representatives. The Gregory School simultaneously held a “Health & Fitness” event to educate event attendees about exercise and nutrition.

“We’re pleased to support our local community by holding this ACA education and enrollment event where we can provide valuable information and assistance to individuals,” said Monmouth Medical Center President and Chief Executive Officer Frank J. Vozos, M.D., FACS.  “We thank our organizational partners who have joined Congressman Pallone in his efforts to educate and assist the community with ACA enrollment, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, NJ Citizen Action, Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Monmouth Family Health Center of Long Branch, Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey and Enroll America.”
