Monmouth Medical Center Announces New Endocrinologist to Join Staff

Monmouth Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, recently announced endocrinologist Svetlana Shifrin-Douglas, M.D., has joined the hospital’s Medical and Dental Staff.

Board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Dr. Shifrin-Douglas earned a medical degree from the State Medical Institute of Khabarovsk, Russia. Following her Internal Medicine residency at Harrisburg Hospital, Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, Pa., Dr. Shifrin-Douglas completed her Fellowship in Endocrinology at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, Pa. 

Prior to joining Monmouth Medical Center, Dr. Shifrin-Douglas worked at a private practice in N.J., and also served as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Endrocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Department of Medicine, Hershey Medical Center.
