Want to help our students? It’s easy. Target is giving away $2.5 million in gift cards to schools so that they can than use the money to purchase needed supplies.
Local schools can receive up to $10,000 each in Target GiftCards® for books or any supplies that are needed. You can help in less that 60 seconds by voting for your favorite school each week.
It’s part of Give With Target. For every 25 votes a school receives, Target will send a $25 gift card. 25 votes = one $25 gift card.
One hundred votes would earn a school four $25 gift cards worth a total of $100. 1000 votes would earn a total of 40 gift cards worth a total of $1,000. The maximum amount a school can earn is $10,000.
You can vote one time per week through Sept. 8. The new week starts at 12 a.m. every Sunday morning.
There are all kinds of warnings on Target's website about not voting more than once a week so for those inclined to vote early and often, I would not try it in this instance.
If Target awards the $2.5 million in gift cards prior to Sept. 8, the program will end. Go to Target's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Target during the Promotion Period to access the Give with Target application, which is available in the tab bar.
You will be required to allow the application access to your Facebook profile to access the application. Once you have allowed permission you'll access the promotion application; you may vote for one school per week from the list of eligible schools provided in the application.
From what I could see, all local schools, public and private are included. You can see how many votes your school already has and how many more they need to get a (or another) gift card. The other link I have used is https://apps.facebook.com/givewithtarget/
If you really want to go the extra mile for your favorite school, after you vote, take a second to share the app on your Facebook page and ask your friends to vote also.
