Fresh herbs & spices are always the classic kick in any dish. Growing up with a full garden of goodies, I have been spoiled by the traditional herb in many of my favorite dishes. From basil to tarragon, mint to cloves of garlic, these garden treats can be the flavor you have been missing.
A classic mint leaf can be fabulous as a touch in your green tea for a refreshing and beautiful touch, and a great antioxidant! Other herbs such as basil add flavor to any Italian dish like marinara sauce or even added into a cool refreshing glass of water with a splash of lemon.
Pulling your own clove of garlic out of the ground, and smashing it into your next chicken dish or fresh hummus is not only satisfying but a wonderful fulfilling feeling when you know the work you have done to get that root from start to finish.
Rosemary or thyme on your next roast can add flair to your dinner menu, and impress any guest you is enjoying it! Cilantro in a fresh salsa or as a marinade for shrimp kebabs is always a summer favorite on the grill!
Adding a small garden to your backyard can be the rush of excellence you need in your meals, drinks, and lifestyle. Healthy and non-processed, freshness is always better. The best part is you don't need to worry about pesticides or chemicals touching your food!
Try out a fresh garden this year, herbs can grow at any time in a window or a small wood container.
