Eatontown Man’s Fantasy Novel Ranks High on Amazon Charts

Few people on Thornley Road in Eatontown knew their neighbor, Harry Aderton, was a talented writer until his novel “Heaven’s Night”  was published as an e-book recently. Now that the book has hit the “top 100” list at Amazon and other major publishers in the Religious Fantasy category, they’re proud of his success.

“It’s a very deep book,” neighbor Ben Caviglia said. “You really should read it. I didn’t expect that from such a normal guy.”

“Heaven’s Night” was Amazon’s Number Two highest rated in the Religious Fantasy category for e-books at the beginning of June. It was also in the top 100 fantasy sellers at I Tunes.

This success has prompted publication of the novel in hard cover at the end of this  summer. It is currently available as an e-book for just $.99, a special promotion which will end when the hard cover ediiton is published.

We asked Harry, whose day job is in the un-fantasy-like entrepreneurial world at General Dynamics, how he found time to write novels, earn a  living and maintain a home with his wife, Gloria, and three young boys (and two dogs).  He said he loves to write and finds time whenever he can.  His favorite writing time is at four in the morning.

“Heaven’s Night”, is the story of Lucifer defying God and igniting a war of massive devastation.  It describes the archangel Sariel defending the heavens “while battling his inner will to challenge God’s plan,” according to the book’s promotional campaign. This plot is the product of Harry’s life-long wondering “how it all happened.”

Harry describes himself as “spiritual” rather than religious, a quality he says he inheriited from his Korean mother.  He dedicated the book to his mother, who lives nearby in Little Silver with his father, a retired military officer.

After the planned hard-cover publication of “Heaven’s Night” Harry will embark on a series of sequels, all based on his twenty years of writing and pondering the spiritual world.
