Art in the Park, a West End tradition for 15 years, will return this summer on Sunday, May 26. The annual event will be held at West End Park in Long Branch from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Art in the Park is an art and crafts fair that emphasizes unique and original works by more than 50 artists from four states. "The artists know it’s for real…we have people coming in from four states, and it would take more than a Superstorm for them to miss out on it," Event Coordinator Mare Akana said in a release. "If you’re looking for something really special for your home, this is a great opportunity to meet a real variety of artists, and talk to them about their work." The 40th annual Belmar Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade was cause for plenty of celebration, and we've compiled some photos and video of the parade route. Caitlin Mullally is a student at Ranney School in Tinton Falls
Ranney School student Caitlin Mullally ’15 (Red Bank) was recently granted the Silver Key Award from the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. A jury of professional artists, curators and art educators spent more than 30 hours reviewing 3,400-plus works of art submitted by more than 900 individual student artists from across northern New Jersey. Caitlin’s piece, “Soldier,” was recognized in the Mixed Media/Art Category of the competition. On Feb. 12, 2013, Caitlin joined the other winners and honorable mention recipients in their respected categories for an awards ceremony and reception held at the Montclair Art Museum.
