For Long Branch Mayor Schneider to step down and retire.

To find a way for the streets, empty lots, and open areas along the streets to be clean of rubbish. This involves the Town, homeowners and business owners buying into Clean Streets. This town is extremely dirty and it doesn't have to do with Hurricane Sandy. Contractors and landscapers have to stop using lots and streets as a dump for their garbage instead of going to the dump with their garbage.

Stop the building of Condo's, Townhouses and Homes. The roads are congested enough and the utilities over stressed as it is. And we have way too many stores and restaurants. I wish to keep it green

Cleaning up all the garbage that blows around like tumbleweeds would be great. I don't think everyone understands that the city won't pickup garbage unless it's in a can. Therefore, on my block, enormous piles of black bags are slowly being strewn open by squirrels and all the storm drains are clogged constantly. There needs to be a push for a cleaner town. Whatever happened to Woodsy the Owl? The Mayor could put on some fake wings and play the part on the steps of city hall. (when they get fixed)

Stop the significant political interference in free market real estate in Long Branch. Who in their right mind would put investment dollars at risk around the Long Branch politician and his special interest groups that have turned Long Branch into one of the most dangerous towns in America in which to own private property.

I would like to see Long Branch put speed humps (like they have in Eatontown) on some speed limit 25 roads. People drive way too fast with no consideration for kids or others who obey the law.

Melanie why would you want the Mayor to retire? He's done a lot for Long Branch. He cleaned the town up. They only mayor thus far that actually cares for his town. He's an excellent mayor that has my vote.

Why cant we fix the traffic getting in and out of the Home Depot plaza on rt 36?
Both jug handles are so messed up it makes me not go their.
The one by DMV is as stupid as it get's. The jug handle to go from rt36 east to west is just as bad. Then in the summer you have to time when to go by the TRACK TRAFFIC.
How is this helping to rent stores in that plaza? It's not. That is why it is half empty.

Rt 35 by Wendy's and Mcdonalds is going to add a Lube it All to the now empty lot.
Plus the new 1$ store in the plaza. Then add in the [no arrow signal] that let's you make a left on N35 at Mcdonalds.
This is going to become a major mess way before the redevolpment of Fort Monmouth.
Start thinking ahead.

Make the contractor put a fence up at the trailer park they made look like Sandy hit it.

make longbranch safer by cleeaning up the drug problem and having the poilice work together with landlords. We need to feel safe in our own homes. Maybe even make a citizen meeting with the township every so often.

Seems like Long Branch has a few problems that are easily fixed. Number one issue is the garbage. And as a poster stated, landlords are often to blame. They take the section 8 money, and let the place turn into a rat hole.Most homeowners take care of their property, but section 8 is guarenteed income, so they dont really care what the place looks like. Lets get tough on landlords and clean up the city, number one issue. Adam is the boss, so when the City is filthy, he gets the blame. It would be nice if someone from the Mayors office or council addressed this forum also.

I agree about the garbage and litter. It has to become a priority.

Long Branch has come a long way in the past few years. The improvements have been dramatic.

It would help if Adam made litter and keeping the city clean a prioriity. He's done a lot of good things for the city. If he just puts out the word "we're going to keep this city clean" I'm sure it would help. The order has to come from the top.

The problem is citywide, and not just limited to some areas.
