Tinton Falls Hosting Cleanup This Weekend
Wooded area behind Swimming River School to be cleaned
Keeping the borough litter-free is one of the goals of the Tinton Falls Department of Public Works (DPW) and Environmental Commission.
The two organizations are hosting a litter cleanup on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon, and are also looking for volunteers.
Interested residents should meet at the bus circle on Ellsworth Terrace and the end of the field behind Swimming River School. The area of focus for the cleanup effort will be the woods and field near the school.
Supplies will be available for all volunteers, thanks to a Clean Communities grant the borough recently received.
The cleanup is being coordinated by Gary Gebele, Director of the Tinton Falls DPW, Jeffrey King, of the Tinton Falls Environmental Commission and community volunteer Barbara Scott.
